Hinge Covers
Dell™ Latitude™ X1 Service Manual

Follow the instructions in "
Preparing to Work Inside the Computer
."
2.
Remove the
keyboard
.
3.
Remove the hinge covers:
a.
Open the display all the way (180 degrees) so that it lies flat against your work surface.
b.
Use a plastic scribe or flat-blade screw driver to pry up one of the hinge covers.
c.
Lift the hinge cover away from the computer, and lay it aside.
d.
Repeat steps a through c to remove the other hinge cover.
