Do not use duplicate IP addresses for the client, SAN, or internal network. The installation will fail if
duplicate IP addresses are present.
Do not use the same subnet for the internal network and the client network. However, you can optionally
use the same switch and VLANs as the SAN network; you do not need to create separate VLANs.

Discovering Controllers and Configuring a NAS Cluster
1. In the Group Manager GUI Activities panel, click
Discover NAS devices
.
2. In the Discover Devices dialog box, select the service tag for each NAS appliance that you want to include
in the NAS cluster. Make sure that
NAS
appears in the
Product
column for the device.
• Make sure the appliance has both NAS controllers installed. After being configured into a NAS cluster,
an appliance appears in Group Manager as a NAS member.
• If all the expected devices do not appear in the Discover Devices dialog box, click
Rediscover
. If the
expected devices still do not appear, make sure each controller is correctly connected to the networks.
3. Click
Configure NAS Cluster
in the Discover Devices dialog box to start the Configure NAS Cluster
wizard.
