Creating and running the backup using scheduled backups
Create and run the FI backup using scheduled backups.
About this task
The following conditions apply for scheduled backups:
•
Scheduled backups can be configured for full state.
•
You cannot set the exact time of day that the scheduled backup occurs.
•
The full state backup is a binary file that includes a snapshot of the entire system.

Use the binary file to restore the system during disaster recovery.
—
Use the binary file to restore or rebuild the configuration on the original FI or recreate the
configuration on a different FI.
—
You cannot use the binary file for an import.
•
Full state backups are encrypted.
•
The full state backup policy can be configured to daily, weekly, or biweekly.
•
You cannot modify the maximum number of backup files created by the Cisco UCS Manager.
•
The option to configure scheduled backups can be found on the
Admin
tab and on the right side
of the screen on the
Policy Backup & Export
tab.
