The main menu is fairly self-explanatory. The upper portion contains switch Hardware
(HW) / Software (SW) build information along with the user name that was used to
log in. The HW “codes” are the revisions of the Fabric FPGA and the Switch FPGA.
The lower portion contains the sub menu choices that can be reached from the Main
Menu.
4.2.5 Configuration Menu
The configuration menu contains sub-menus for configuring important switch options
such as 1G/2G operation (sub menu 4, Global Settings), FC time out values (sub
menu 4, Global Settings), and IP settings for the Ethernet port (sub menu 7, Ethernet
Settings), etc. The following sections will show and explain the various configuration
options.
Warning:
To retain ANY of the configuration options that are modified through a
power cycle, be sure to SAVE them from the Flash Access menu. In
addition, the Flash Write Enable jumpers MUST be in place for the
Flash to be written.
