Output Limiter - SC 32 / SC 64

Limiter - Signal processor used to Limit the dynamic range of the signal passing
through it. This is normally done through the use of a VCA (Voltage Controlled
Amplifier), whose gain is a function of a control voltage applied to it.

/

On/Off Button

- Turns the Limiter Processing Module on and off; when in the Off

position, the signal path bypasses this algorithm.

OverEasy Fader

- OverEasy is a soft-knee smoothing that occurs in the

transition about the Limiter threshold. The higher the OverEasy number, the
greater the smoothing.

Threshold Fader

- The threshold is the signal level at which the Limiter starts to

reduce the gain. If the Threshold is set to -10 dBFS, then any signal larger than -
10 dBFS will be limited while any signal lower than -10dBFS is left at the original
level. Limiting is used differently from compression, in that it typically is used to
provide system protection. No signal level above the threshold will be passed
without regard to increase above the threshold.
