3. INSTALLATION

•

The unit should be installed by a professional and in accordance with current accepted practices (IEC Standard
364-7-702 and NFC 1500 Section 702).

•

The power supply should include electrical protection and isolating gear in accordance with the regulations in
force.

•

See General Installation Diagram, Appendix 1

•

First select a place inside the plant room where you can fix the switch cupboard at a height at which it can be
accessed and read easily.

•

Connect the control unit in parallel with the filter circuit pump such that the unit only starts when the pump is in
operation.

•

IMPORTANT: The cell is connected to the hydraulic circuit after all the other items of equipment (pump, filter,
heating, blower, etc.), just before the hydraulic circuit return into the pool.

•

The cell must be fixed horizontally at a level just slightly above the level of the filter.

•

Fix cell in accordance with the direction of the arrow located on the body of the cell; this shows the direction in
which the water flows in the cell.

•

You must position the cell such that it can be removed easily for cleaning purposes, should that become necessary.

•

Connect the electrode power input to the switch cupboard.

•

MPS models: Connect the two plugs to the connectors on the cell.

•

Connect the safety device to the terminal provided for this purpose on the cell.

NOTE:

One of the adapters of the cell is made with a bolt.  Install this Adaptor in between the cell housing (opposite

side to the threaded side of the cell housing) and pipe. The bolt is to make a connection to an independent earth –
Refer to installation drawing

•

To connect blanket switch :

>Push “banana” plugs into the bottom of the

black-black “banana” sockets   OR

>Push wires into the holes at sides of the black-black terminals and screw down to fasten

NOTE:

Plugs or wires can be connected into either of the black terminals
