Mounting the handle column

The dashboard cable (3) is already installed in the handle 
column (2) at the factory. 

In order to avoid wedging or 

jamming the cable when mounting the column, the 
connector at the lower end of the column should 
protrude by only a small (short) length!

2.  Mounting instructions for the handle column

Required parts:

Required tools:

Allen wrench SW 8

First the preassembled basic device should be put down in such a way as to leave enough room for you to 
move around it, specially in front and on the left side.

The holder (LSH) of the handle column (2) is located under 
the tilted housing cover (18). 

 must be carefully inserted, 

through the opening in the housing (18) 

between the holder curved plates (LSH1 & 2) that are located 
under the housing, until it stops. (See figures 1 and 2)
We recommend performing this operation with the help of a 
second person. This second person can then insert the 
recessed head screws (F) with their washers (G) through 
the opening (on the left side) and screw them in the holder (LSH). 

Do not yet tighten the two M10 fastening screws

 that are already 

in the two curved plates LSH1 and LSH2 on the left and right sides 
(FS1 on the left side and FS2 on the right side)! These screws 
are installed loosely (not tight) at the factory and must not exert 
any pressure on the column (2) during the mounting process!

 In order to fit the lower end of 

the handle column in the holder, it

The connector (CS-1) of the dashboard cable 
must not be pulled too much out of the column 
tube.  Otherwise, the cable (3) could get 
jammed or damaged when inserting the 
column in the frame holder (LSH)!

After the screws (F) have been screwed 
in loosely, you can slightly draw the dashboard 
cable and establish the connection   (CS-1/GS). 
(See fig. 3)
