2.11.3 Parameter Control Knobs
The 5 control knobs located underneath the touch screen offer
more control over the parameters in the menus. When you are
in a menu, you can tap on a parameter and use the knob
directly underneath it to choose a number value.
2.11.4 Quick Menu Buttons
The quick menu buttons allow you to jump to commonly selected menus while using the
joystick. Flex 1 & Flex 2 buttons will allow control of either the Flex DVE 1, or the Flex
DVE 2 menus respectively.
(These are normally accessed with the FLEX SRC button in the “MENUS” button group).
By default, the joystick will control the X, Y, Z Position for the DVE you have selected.
However, if the ‘ROT’ button is selected at the same time, then the DVE Rotation will be
mapped to the Joystick Z-Axis. This was designed as a faster way to control the X, Y, and
Z Position & Rotation for Flex DVE’s 1 & 2.
Pressing ‘WIPE’ jumps to the ‘Wipe Position’ Menu.
(This menu is normally accessed with the “WIPE” button in the “MENUS” button group).
2.11.5 X, Y, Z Buttons
The Joystick X, Y, and Z buttons allow the joystick axis control to be disabled for
the purpose of moving a Flex DVE horizontally, without worrying about
unwanted vertical movement. If a menu has the option to use the Joystick axes,
the XYZ buttons will be lit. These axes can be disabled (turned off) as desired by
the user. When the axes are disabled the x, y, z buttons will not be lit.
2.11.6 Joystick
When an applicable menu option is open, the joystick controls the rotation
and position of certain objects in the DVE Layers of the SE-3000.
In certain menus, the joystick can also control parameters like border with,
shade size, etc.
