If the Printhead becomes damaged, replace it as follows:
Always follow proper Electro Static Discharge procedures when replacing the printhead.
If equipped with a Ribbon Handler, it is not necessary to remove the assembly as an access hole
has been provided.
a) Turn OFF the printer.
b) Loosen the Printhead Screw until it disengages from the Printhead.
c) Press the Printhead Latch and then raise the Printhead Carrier Assembly.

d) Remove the Printhead Cable from the Printhead Connector and then remove the Printhead.

e) Carefully connect the Printhead Cable to the Printhead Connector of the new Printhead.
f) Position the Printhead in the Printhead Carrier Assembly and, after ensuring the Printhead Cable is
not pinched, tighten the Printhead Screw.
g) Clean then allow the Printhead to dry before use; see Section 4.1.
