STEP 2
– MOUNT AND POSITION THE READER
1. To mount the Matrix 120, use the mounting brackets to obtain the most suitable position
for the reader. A common mounting configuration is shown in the figure below.

2. When mounting the Matrix 120 take into consideration these three ideal label position angles:
Pitch or Skew 10° to 20° and Tilt 0°
, although the reader can read a code at any tilt angle
provided the code fits into the Field Of View (FOV).

3. Refer to the reading diagrams in chp. 6 to determine the distance your reader should be
positioned at.
NOTE:
Rapid Configuration of the Matrix 120 reader can be made
either
through the X-PRESS
™ interface (step 3) which requires no PC connection,
or
by using the DL.CODE Configuration Program (steps 4-5). Select the
procedure according to your needs.
