Network Discovery
M.A.Ch.10/100 gives you the ability to search the network for protocols
and devices. Results are shown in either map or list form. For a full
explanation of each of the icons on the
Network
Discovery
tab, see
Discovery
Map
.
1. Click the
Network Discovery
icon (shown above), The Network
Discovery tab
screen displays. (You can also reach
Network Discovery
from the
Health
screen.)
Network Discovery
The network map shown here can be your default startup view. See
Tools/Options
for configuration information.
2. Click the
Start
button to start the discovery process.
3. When the discovery is complete, click
Device View
to view the results or click each
icon on the
Display Map
for more information.

Click the
M.A.Ch.10/100
icon to view version information on software,
hardware and firmware.
5.
Click the
Cable
icon to view cable information.
6.
Click the
Hub
icon to view information regarding the hub(s) discovered.
7.
Click the
Workstation
icon to view information about workstations detected.
The number of workstations discovered displays to the right of the icon.
8.
Click the
Server
icon to view information about discovered servers. The
number of servers discovered displays to the right of the icon.
9.
OK
Click
OK
to close the Network Discovery dialog.
