Station Discovery
The M.A.Ch.10/100 gives you the ability to discover workstation or
headless device information such as the MAC or static IP addresses (if
configured). It will also list any detected protocols this station has tried to
use. This feature is useful for verifying the protocol configuration of a
workstation or headless server such as a print server, modem server, fax server, RAS
server or Sony PlayStation II.

Discovering Workstation Information
1. Attach a patch cable to the
Network Jack
of the host running the
M.A.Ch.10/100
software to the device you want to find out about. Make sure that the device is turned
off.
2. Click the
Station Discovery
icon (shown above), or select
Health
from the
Tools
menu and click the
Station Discovery
tab. The Station
Discovery tab screen
displays.
3. When the discovery is complete, the fields on the
Station Discovery
sheet display
the pertinent information.
4. Click
OK
to return to the
Station Discovery
tab screen.
