Laminator LCD messages
LCD Message
Possible Cause
Solution
Please Power OFF
To initialize this unit, the
power must be switched
off once.
Turn the laminator’s power switch off, and then back
on to initialize the laminator.
Please Reset
Displayed when Reset is
necessary after changing
the settings.
Press the RESET/
K
and then the ENTER key to
initialize the laminator.
Please check inside
The power was switched
off during lamination.
Remove the laminator cartridge and check for a card
inside the machine. If there is a card in the machine,
remove it.
Press the RESET/
K
and then the ENTER key to
initialize the laminator.
Card Jam (in)
There is a card jam in the
entrance area.
Check that the laminator is properly connected to the
printer as described in
“Optional laminator
connection” on page 13
.

to clear the jam.
Card Jam (middle)
There is a card jam in the
center of the card path.
The laminating temperature is too high or the speed is
too slow. Set the temperature or speed as described in
“Using the Laminator LCD panel” on page 42
.

There is a card jam in the
card discharge area.
The laminating temperature is too high or the speed is

Film search
The laminator is searching
for laminate material.
Check that the laminating film is correctly loaded as

“Load laminate” on page 11
.
Press the RESET/

Film run out
The end of the roll mark
has been detected.
Replace the laminating material as described in
“Load
laminate” on page 11
.
Press the RESET/

No Cassette
The laminator cartridge is
not installed.
Install the laminator cartridge as described in
“Load
laminate” on page 11
.
Press the RESET/
K
and then the ENTER key to
initialize the laminator.
Overcool
The area surrounding the
laminator is too cold.

HR is too hot!
The heat roller is too hot
for the cleaning operation.
Turn the power switch off and allow the roller to cool
before attempting to clean it. See
“Cleaning the
laminator” on page 49
to clean the heat roller.
