Connect the Power Cords
Use this procedure to connect the provided power cord to the print unit, and to connect the
provided power supply and cord to the security enclosure.
1.
Verify the plug type is correct for your installation. The power cords vary according to model
and country of purchase.
2.
Plug the power cord into the power receptacle on the back of the print unit (A).
3.
Connect the power cord from the print unit to the facility power source (B).
4.
Connect the round connector from the power supply to the back of the security
enclosure (C).
5.
Connect the power cord to the power supply (D).
6.
Connect the other end of the security enclosure power cord to the facility power source (E).
Warning: Always use a grounded power outlet that is not shared with other
electrical equipment.
Caution: Use an automatic voltage regulator (AVR) if there is a possibility of
voltage fluctuations. Use an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) rather than an
AVR if there is a possibility of frequent power loss.
