Configuration & control of the AC SuperDrive
•
Updates Application SW Build Time stored with parameters.
•
Computes checksum.
•
Saves parameters to EEPROM.
•
Sets Default parameters (Bit 15) in the Status Word.
The truck controller may then permit default parameters to be used or download different
parameters to the SuperDrive.
During operation, all parameter read and write operations access the "working parameters" in
RAM memory. The content of RAM memory is lost whenever power is removed from the
KEYSTART
input. The truck controller must take specific actions (see nest section, Saving
parameters) to permanently save parameter value changes.

AVING PARAMETERS
In order to update the permanent set of parameter values in EEPROM memory, the truck
controller must
Initiate Esave
by writing the value 65766173h to CANopen object Store All
Parameters (1010h:1). Saving parameters shall be performed with the vehicle at standstill.

UPLICATING A CONFIGURATION
The fact that the operating characteristics of an AC SuperDrive are determined by a set of
numbers (parameters) combined with the digital nature of the drive assures that two AC
SuperDrives identically configured behave identically in a given application.
In a production environment any of the following methods may be employed to configure AC
SuperDrives:
•
The user-specified configuration can include as default parameters by Danaher Motion during
the manufacturing process.
•
The user may download the configuration to the drive as a step in his vehicle assembly
process.
This requires a PC with CAN Bus interface and software to perform the procedure.
•
The user may download the configuration to the drive from the truck controller.
