IM (in-ceiling mount variant) is exclusively designed for
indoor installations.
An outdoor installation is prohibited and may result in malfunction, damage, data loss and
loss of warranty.

SM
The DDF4220HDV Picodome
®
SM (surface mount variant) is designed for indoor installa

tions.
However, an outdoor installation may be permitted, but only in compliance with the follow-
ing instructions/recommendations:
• Protect the device from direct influence of weather conditions (rainfall, direct sunlight, etc.).
• Always use a protected installation site (e.g. under a canopy).
4.4
Maintenance
The housing of the unit may only be opened by qualified personnel for commissioning,
inspection, maintenance and repair.
Cleaning
If it is necessary to clean the device, observe the following notes:
Notice
Damage to the surface of the device
Clean the housing (outside) with a soft, dry and antistatic cloth.
Do not use detergents.
Clean the plastic bubble with water and some dishwashing agent using
a soft, non-linting cloth or sponge.
Do not rub the plastic bubble with a dry cloth.
Do not use common glass cleaners.
Avoid excessive rubbing.
Dry gently with a clean dry cloth to avoid scratching the surface.
