6 . Inspecting, handling and unpacking the unit
6 .1 . Inspection
At delivery, the unit must be checked and any damage must be re-
ported immediately to the carrier’s claims agent.
6 .2 . Handling

When handling the unit, take into account the following:
Fragile, handle the unit with care.
Keep the unit upright in order to avoid compressor damage.

Choose beforehand the path along which the unit is to be brought
in.

Bring the unit as close as possible to its final installation position in
its original package to prevent damage during transport.

Lift the unit preferably with a crane and 2 belts of at least 27 ft.
(8 m) long as shown in the figure above.
Always use protectors to prevent belt damage and pay attention to
the position of the unit’s center of gravity.
NOTE
Use a belt sling of
≤
3/4 in. (20 mm) wide that adequately bears the
weight of the unit.
A forklift can only be used for transport as long as the unit remains on
its pallet as shown above.
6 .3 . Unpacking
CAUTION
To avoid injury, do not touch the air inlet or aluminum fins of the unit.
Relief the unit from its packing material:
RXYQ72TTJU/TYDN
RXYQ96-168TTJU/TYDN
Take care not to damage the unit when removing the shrink foil with a
cutter.
WARNING
Tear apart and throw away plastic packaging bags so that children will
not play with them. Children playing with plastic bags face danger of
death by suffocation.

Remove the 4 bolts fixing the unit to its pallet.

Make sure that all accessories as mentioned in 2.1. Accessories
supplied with this unit on page 3 are available in the unit.
6 .4 . Installing the unit
Make sure the unit is installed level on a sufficiently strong base to
prevent vibration and noise.
NOTE
When the installation height of the unit needs to be increased, do not
use stands to only support the corners.
