The engine name plate (identification label) is
attached to rocker cover (Figure 3). The engine
serial number is stamped on the left rear of the
engine block, under exhaust manifold.
Please make note of these numbers and their
locations. These will be required whenever
warranty service work is requested.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
1.
Before performing any maintenance
checks, move pilot cutoff switch to
"LOCKED" position. Place a Warning Tag
on controls so that no one begins to
operate machine while maintenance
checks are being performed.
2.
Clean up all fuel spills. Fuel spills are
hazardous, especially around engine.
3.
Inspect all fuel lines for leakage. Replace
any lines, fittings, O-rings, or filters that
show signs of wear or damage.
4.
If a test procedure requires engine to be
running, use two people and keep all
unnecessary personnel away from
machine.
