SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
1
2. Allow the tractor time to cool off be-
fore servicing any part that may have
become hot while the tractor was
running.
3. You must always stop the engine be-
fore refueling the tractor. Avoid over-
filling the tractor or spilling the fuel.
4. Before jump starting a dead battery,
read and follow all of the instructions.
5. It is recommended to keep a first aid
kit and fire extinguisher handy at all
times.
In order to service your tractor you must
park it on a flat level surface, set the
parking brake, place the gear shift le-
ver in neutral and stop the engine.
1. Do not smoke while working around
the battery or when refueling your
tractor. Keep all sparks and flames
away from the battery and fuel tank.
The battery presents an explosive
hazard because it gives off hydrogen
and oxygen… especially when
recharging.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
DURING SERVICING
6. Do not remove the radiator cap while
the coolant is hot. When cool, slowly
rotate the cap to the first stop and
allow sufficient time for excess pres-
sure to escape. After all the pressure
is released remove the cap
completely. If your tractor is
equipped with a coolant recovery
tank, add coolant there rather than
to the radiator.
