if your ISP provides and requires you to enter a PPPoE username and password in order to connect to the
Internet. Click

Username:
Enter the username provided by your ISP.
Password:
Enter the password provided by your ISP.
Reconnect Mode:
Select either
Always on

On Demand
, or
Manual
.
Maximum Idle
Time:
Configurable when
On Demand
is selected. Enter a maximum
idle time for the Internet connection to be maintained
during inactivity. To disable this feature, select
Always on
or
Manual
as the reconnect mode. The default time is 5 minutes.

Address Mode:
Select
Static IP
if your ISP assigned you an IP address, subnet mask,
gateway, and DNS server addresses. In most cases, however, select
Dynamic IP
.
If you select
Dynamic IP
as the Address Mode:
Service Name:
Enter the ISP service name (optional).
Primary DNS
Server:
Enter the primary DNS server IP address assigned by your ISP. This
address is usually automatically obtained from your ISP.
Secondary DNS
Server:
Enter the secondary DNS server IP address assigned by your ISP.
This address is usually automatically obtained from your ISP.
MTU:
Maximum Transmission Unit (1280~1500)- The default is 1492. You
may need to change the MTU for optimal performance with your ISP.
