config gvrp 

Purpose 

Used to configure GVRP on the switch. 

Syntax 

config gvrp [<portlist>|all] {state 
[enabled|disabled]|ingress_checking 
[enabled|disabled] pvid <vlanid 1-4096> } 

Description 

This command is used to configure the Group 
VLAN Registration Protocol on the switch. You 
can configure ingress checking and the sending 
and receiving of GVRP information. 

Parameters 

<portlist> 

−

  A range of ports for which you want 

ingress checking. The port list is specified by 
listing the beginning port number and the 
highest port number of the range. The beginning 
and end of the port list range are separated by a 
dash. For example, 3 would specify port 3. 4 
specifies port 4. 3-4

 

specifies all of the ports 

between port 3 and port 4

 in numerical order.

 Specifies all of the ports on the switch. 

state [enabled|disabled]

 Enabled or disables 

GVRP for the ports specified in the port list.
