Unpack and empty the column
Unpacking procedure
To unpack the Primer Support and empty Adjustable Oligo Column follow these steps:

Disconnect the column from the system.

Place a suitably dimensioned collecting vessel under the column to collect
the acetonitrile. Make sure to collect the acetonitrile directly in the vessel or
connect a piece of tubing at the column outlet to the vessel.

Apply a low pressure compressed air flow at the inlet of the column to allow
the acetonitrile to come out at the bottom of the column.

Continue the air flow until the Primer Support has reduced in volume and is
free from the column wall.
Note:
This will take approximately 30 minutes depending on the amount of Primer
Support in the column and the air flow.

Turn off the air flow.

Disconnect the top end piece by turning the adaptor counter clockwise until
it can be and lifted out.

Turn the column upside down and collect the Primer Support in a suitable
vessel.

Start the deprotection as described in the instruction manual for the
connected system.
