Spark
Plug
Removal
and
Installation
This
portion
of
the
Owner’s
and
Service
Manual
addresses
spark
plug
removal
and
replacement.
You
should
replace
the
spark
plug
every
10,000
miles
or
more
often
if
the
motorcycle
exhibits
symptoms
consistent
with
spark
plug
failure
(missing
under
load,
no
spark
across
the
electrode,
etc.).
Remove
the
lead
from
the
spark
plug.
The
spark
plug
is
on
the
right
side
of
the
motorcycle.
Unscrew
the
spark
plug
from
the
cylinder
head.
You
can
use
an
11/16
‐
inch
or
an
18mm
spark
plug
socket.
The
TT250
engine
takes
a
Torch
D8TC
spark
plug.
The
gap
should
be
0.028
inch
or
0.711mm
when
the
plug
is
new;
if
it
is
not
at
this
gap,
adjust
the
electrode
accordingly.
Assembly
is
the
reverse
of
disassembly.
