Using Internet
Explorer
1. Start Internet Explorer.
2. From the
Tools menu, click Internet
Options .
3. When the dialog box similar to Figure 4-12
appears, click the Connections tab.
4. Click the Never dial a connection option to
select it and click the LAN Settings button.
5. When the Local Area Network (LAN)
Settings dialog box similar to Figure 4-13
appears, make sure that the Automatically
detect settings, Use automatic
configuration script and Use a proxy
server check boxes are not selected, and
then click the OK button.
6. In the next dialog box that appears, click the
OK button.
