ASSEMBLY
After cutting the hole, reinstall the front RH shield.
Remove the nut and washer from the OEM pulley
shown in Figure 27. Then, screw the splined adapter
shaft onto the pulley and torque to 875 ft-lbs. If needed,
tighten the adapter shaft more until the two holes in
the OEM pulley line up with two of the holes in the
adapter shaft plate. Install two M12 bolts in the holes.
Tighten to 70 ft-lbs.
Remove the pillowblock bearings, splined shaft,
bushing and sheave from the fan mount assembly by
unbolting the bearings from the fan mount assembly
(Figure 28). They will be bolted back in place after as-
sembly is mounted.

Place all controls in neutral or off, lower header to the
ground, stop combine engine, set parking brake, re-
move ignition key, chock wheels and wait for all moving
parts to stop before servicing, adjusting, repairing, or
unplugging.
Lift the RH combine side shield and remove the front
RH shield (Figure 25).
Cut a hole in the front RH shield that was removed
in Step 1. Use Figure 26 for recommended cutting
measurements.
