NOTE:
The amplifier should be in the STANDBY mode at this time.
Successful completion of steps (a) through (c) and 3.6.1.1 and 3.6.1.2
indicates:
•
Self tests were successfully completed.
•
Alarm and fault limit levels are properly set.
•
The TWT (Traveling Wave Tube) heater is warmed up.
•
High Voltage can be turned ON.
3.6.2 Initial Check, High Voltage ON
Proceed as follows:
a.
Verify that the amplifier output (J8) is terminated with a RF
load capable of dissipating full rated power.
b.
Verify that the RF Drive is OFF.
c.
Verify that the RMT LED is not lighted.
