Opening and Closing the Lid
To open the lid, hold the handle and pull up the lid. When you do this, make sure that you
pull the lid all the way up so that it cannot drop down again.
To close the lid, hold the handle, pull the lid back a little bit and press the release button.
The lid can now be closed.
If you open the lid during cooking, the device switches off automatically. When
you close the lid again, the device resumes the cooking process. Please note:
The timer carries on running during this time!
Switching the Device On and Off
1. Place the accessory you want and the food into the device (see the “Using the Rotat-
ing Spit”, “Using the Grill Basket”, “Using the Grill Rack” sections).
2. Close the lid.
3. Use the temperature control to set the cooking temperature (max. 250 °C).
4. Use the timer to set the cooking time (0 – 60 minutes) in order to turn the device on.
The POWER display and the HEAT temperature control lamp light up as soon as a
cooking time has been set. Hot air begins to circulate inside the device and is dis-
charged through the ventilation slots in the lid.
During use, the HEAT temperature control lamp may go out and then light up again
after a little while. This is not a malfunction, but indicates only that the device is
heating up again or interrupting the heating process in order to maintain a constant
temperature inside the device.
5. When the set cooking time is up, the supply of heat switches off automatically and a
beep is heard .
You can also turn the device off manually at any time by moving the timer to the
0
position.
6. Remove the used accessory and the prepared food from the device (see the “Using
the Rotating Spit”, “Using the Grill Basket”, “Using the Grill Rack” sections). We rec-
ommend that you always use potholders or oven gloves or the removal tool as the
bowl, the accessory and the food will be very hot.
