FReSH TOMATO
2 cans chopped tomatoes
2 tbsp tomato puree
50g diced red onion
2 cloves garlic roughly chopped

tbsp pure maple syrup

tbsp apple cider vinegar
1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp salt
Pinch of mustard powder
Pinch of ground black pepper
1 tsp of cornflour (optional)
1 tsp water (optional)
Add all ingredients to the blender
and blend until smooth. Transfer to a
saucepan and bring it just to the boil
over a high heat. Reduce the heat
and simmer for about 30 minutes,
stirring occasionally.
If you would like your sauce thicker,
combine the cornflour and water,
add to the ketchup and simmer
for another 10-15 minutes. Let the
ketchup cool to room temperature.
Transfer it to a sealable glass
container and keep in the fridge for
up to 1 month.
