Downloading New Firmware
What is Firmware?
Like a computer uses an operating system your scanner uses firmware to
run its systems and link with the software controlling the scanner.
When do I need new firmware?
Your scanner is shipped with the latest firmware available but from time to
time the manufacturer may release a new version to make an improvement.
Firmware upgrades can be downloaded from the manufacturer website or
obtained from your dealer.
Upgrade your firmware when:
•
One or more new features are released or other improvements are
made to the scanner in firmware
•
An error is discovered in the firmware version you have installed and
the manufacturer recommends installation of a firmware upgrade
NOTE:
Information about the upgrade will be included in the release
firmware notes.
