Load face-up in the center of the scanner

Load your document with the image side facing
upwards. Align the center of the document with the
center arrow marking on the scanner bed
•
Use the standard paper size markings to center and
square up the document for a straight scan path
or
software.
NOTE:
The availability of the
automatic
and
manual
loading
options
will depend on your scanning software and its level of compatibility with the
scanner model.
Load the paper face-up. Hold it using both hands and align the document center with
the center marking on the scanner.
Automatic loading
With
automatic loading
, the scanner takes the original as soon as you
insert it in the paper slot. Automatic loading is reliable for most jobs and
especially useful for batch scanning jobs.
•
Make sure the Paper handling option “
Auto load
” is set in your
scanning application
•
Align the center of the document with the center arrow marking on
the scanner bed
•
The paper ready LED will light up green just before the paper feeds
•
Push the original into the insertion slot until you feel it contact the
rollers and the Paper Ready LED lights green
•
The scanner will take hold of the original automatically and move it
into the start-scan position
•
The amount of time the scanner waits for the operator to correctly
position the document can be adjusted in the scanning software.
This is useful if the scanner is taking the original too quickly
