Detaching glass plate - right-side latch
Stand at the front of the scanner looking at the keypad end of the glass.
•
Detaching the first (right) latch requires a sharp, flat tool like a pen or a
small screwdriver
NOTE:
A tool is only needed to start the removal process
•
Locate the
arrow label
on the
RIGHT-SIDE
of the scanner
•
With the tool just under the edge of the glass plate (see arrow) press down
on the latch release button visible in the small square hole
•
Using the tip of the tool pop the edge of the glass upwards until it
’s free of
the white latch
•
Let go of the latch release button
Detaching glass plate- remaining latches
After freeing the latch on the right-side of the lid, freeing the remaining latches
becomes much easier.
•
Working to the left press down the release button of the next latch
•
The latch will release its grip and the glass will pop up over the latch
•
Let go of the latch release button
•
Repeat until all latches have been released
