Install the caps

WARNING: Risk of injury from unse-
cured caps!

>

Make sure that each cap is secured with a
clip.

>

Remove transport protection (red, blue) from the collec-
tor connections.

>

Push caps with O-rings and plug-in connectors onto the
collector connection. [1.]

>

To secure the connection, push clips over the caps and
collector connections. [2.]

>

Make sure that the clips are properly seated.

10 Final steps

10.1  Flushing, venting and leak testing

>

Flush the system with Tyfocor LS.

>

Check all connections for leaks.

>

High system pressure increases reliability. 2.5-4 bar are
recommended: This results in about 2-3 bar on the roof
and thus an evaporation temperature of over 120 °C (at
2 bar). (Form CON-SOLARSTATION: 2.5 bar).

Commission the solar thermal system in
accordance with the details in the solar pump
station installation and maintenance instructions.

10.2  Checking the installation

Checks

1.

Profile rails connected to collector supports and
screws tightened?

2. Anti-slip protectors fitted?

3. Collector clamps fitted and screws tightened?

4.

Are the pipe bends secured with clips, and has the
correct seat of the clips been checked?

5.

Are the free collector connections sealed with caps
and secured with clips?

6. Correct collector temperature sensor selected?

7.

Tightness test carried out and all connections che-
cked for leaks (see solar pump station instructions)?

Tab. 10  Checks

10.3  Install intermediate reflector (accessories)

Scope of delivery: 1 × Intermediate reflector, 2 × Clip

>

To make the protective film of the intermediate reflector
easier to remove after installation, the protective film
can be removed slightly at one place.

>

Place the intermediate reflector between the collectors.
