Operation
After connection and re-checking the cabling, you can put the power amplifier into
operation for the first time.
Adjust the suitable sensitivity range for
the audio source with the switch SENSI-
TIVITY (16).
Turn the volume control (6) to minimum
(all the way to the left).
Put the switch SIGNAL SMART (11) to
the right position for your configuration.
Put the switch GROUND LIFT (17) to the
position "GROUND".
Turn on your audio source (mixing table,
equalizer etc.) and the appliances con-
nected to them.
Turn on the power amplifier with the
mains switch (5).
Adjust the volume of the audio source
to approx. 75% of the maximum vol-
ume respectively the maximum undis-
torted level (visible on appliances with
recording level indicator on the marking
"0 db").
Now adjust the maximum required vol-
ume with the volume controllers (6).
The ranges 0 dbm +4 db and + 10 db
are available.
Refer to the operating manual of the
audio source to find out, which output
voltage it provides.
The appliance is still off.
STEREO: Stereo Operation
BRIDGE: Mono Bridge Operation
PARALLEL: Parallel Operation
The earth of the power amplifier is con-
nected to the grounding of the housing
in this position.
The volume control of the audio source
is on minimum.
Set the switch to ON.
After a short cut-in delay, the appliance
turns on.
This setting results in a high s/n ratio
and provides the best audio quality.
Please observe that the maximum vol-
ume depends on the capacity of the
speakers and the amplifier.

Connection:
The power amplifier is equipped with symmetrical XLR inputs and symmetrical 6.3
mm jack plugs that also accept asymmetrical signals.
The power amplifier is equipped with SPEAKON loudspeaker connectors and loud-
speaker clamping terminals for connecting the speakers.
It does not matter which connections you chose. But only use one type of connec-
tion at a time.
Only use suitable screened XLR or jack cables for connection to
the inputs. Using other cables may lead to distortions.
In order to avoid distortions or impedance mismatches that may
lead to damages to the appliance, only sources with a XLR output
may be connected to the XLR inputs respectively only sources
with a jack output to the jack inputs.
The wiring to the loudspeakers must be bi-core. Insulate bare
connections. Make sure none of the wires is damaged by sharp
edges.
Only use loudspeakers with a sufficient capacity (see "Technical
Data").
Connect the loudspeakers directly with the amplifier.
Do not use any headphone adapters or distributor boxes! In case
of doubt, consult an expert.
Make sure that all loudspeakers have the correct polarity, mean-
ing that the plus and minus indicators match.
The amplifier was designed for operation with loudspeaker
impedances or at least 4 Ohm (stereo operation) respectively 8
Ohm (mono bridge operation). Never connect loudspeakers with a
lesser impedance!
Also refer to the connection values in the "Technical Data".
The plug assignment of the input jacks are indicated in the following drawing:
