• Disconnect the lines from the battery and connect both connection lines to the new
rechargeable battery (lead battery 6V/DC resp. 12V/DC 4 Ah) in the right polarity.
• Carefully insert the rechargeable battery into the case again.
• Close the lid of the battery holder by replacing the screws and ensure that the
connection lines for the battery are not squeezed.
18. Disposal
a) General Information
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to the relevant
statutory regulations.
b) Batteries and Rechargeable Batteries
The end user is legally obliged (Battery Ordinance) to return all used batteries and
rechargeable batteries. Disposal in the household rubbish is prohibited.
Batteries/rechargeable batteries containing harmful substances are
marked with the following symbols, which point out that they must not
be disposed of in the domestic refuse. The designations for the deci-
sive heavy metals are: Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb = lead.
You may return used batteries/rechargeable batteries/coin cell bat-
teries free of charge at the official collection points of your communi-
ty, in our stores, or wherever batteries/rechargeable batteries/coin
cell batteries are sold!
You thus fulfil the legal requirements and make your contribution to protecting the
environment!
