Our recommendation:
From approximately 17 °dH water hardness (hardness range 3 and 4) use a water softening system for
partial softening to dilute the water to a residual hardness of about 8 °dH.
Dosing downstream of the water softening system:
If there is a long-term change in water hardness due to a lack of regeneration salts, the JUL mineral solu-
tion will no longer correspond to the water composition. In extreme cases this can lead to malfunctions. If
the water softening system is placed out of service of switched to bypass, then the dosing pump must like-
wise be removed from service (see chapter 6.12 “OPERATING INTERRUPTION”).
