There are several possible types of PIIC interfaces available. The first bit of each 20 bit field determines the PIIC interface
type. 0 means no interface detected, non zero means an interface type was detected.

If no interface is present, then the following bits will be returned: 0UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

If an interface is detected but the interface type is set to NONE, then the following bits will be returned:
20xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, where:
2 means G.703 interface detected
0 means NONE selected so it is disabled.
