SwItChboArd trAVErSAl SErVEr (tS)
The Switchboard Traversal Server is a service built and maintained by Comrex on the public Internet that provides users
a directory of other users; facilitating connections to devices that would normally have trouble accepting incoming IP
connections. Use of Switchboard is free and comes activated from the factory.

Navigate to
System Settings->Switchboard Server
.
The two choices under the Switchboard Server are
Switchboard Enabled and Show Offline Units
. To use Switchboard,
the
Switchboard Enabled
must be enabled. Setting the
Show Offline Units
to “enable” will allow you to see the other
units on the account, even if they are not currently online.

In order to use Switchboard, you must first have an account with the server. You can obtain an account by contacting
Comrex at 978-784-1776 / 800-237-1776, or by emailing [email protected] / [email protected]. Only one account is
required for each group of codecs.
Once a username and password is provided, navigate to
switchboard.comrex.com
in a browser.
The first time you log in to Switchboard, you will see a notice stating that no units have been added to the account. By
clicking on
Add New Unit
, you will be prompted to input the Ethernet MAC address of the NX you wish to add. The MAC
