TWO DIFFERENT METHODS OF

INSTALLING THE INFANT CAR SEAT

IN THE VEHICLE.
UNIVERSAL ANCHORAGE SYSTEM (UAS)
This is a new system (since September 1,

2002) that provides anchor points specifically

intended for infant car seats.
Check your vehicle Owner's Manual to see

if your vehicle is fitted with the UNIVERSAL

ANCHORAGE SYSTEM (UAS).
The mounting points may also be identified in

your vehicle by the UNIVERSAL

ANCHORAGE SYSTEM (UAS) symbol.
VEHICLE BELTS

The infant car seat may also be installed

using a lap/shoulder belt or a lap only belt.

WARNING: Not all vehicle belts are

suitable for an infant car seat

installation.

See Section 11 for more information

      on suitable vehicle belts.
