Depending on OMT/OMC configuration, alarm to BTS can be signalled from RA-7800 by either: a)
pin1 and pin3 ‘closed’ or b) pin2 and pin3 ‘opened’.
3.5.7 EXTERNAL ALARM CONNECTION
Four external alarms INPUT to RU are realized on the “EXT_ALM” port, this is a 7-pin CPC
connector. The following figure and table shows the pin allocation and definition. Pin numbering are
shown looking-into the connector on the enclosure.

3.5.8 INTEGRATED MODEM CONNECTON
Wireless Modem
For the equipment variant equipped with the wireless modem, it is the wireless modem integrated in
the MU provides the option of remote connection of the equipment by OMT. The wireless modem
implements the link for data and SMS. The power cable and data wire has already been connected to
the wireless modem, customer only need to insert the SIM card into the SIM card slot.
