THROTTLE OPERATION
Cable Inspection:
1.
Check for smooth rotation of the throttle grip from the
fully open to the fully closed position at both full steering po-
sitions.
2.
1nspect the condition of the throttle cable from the thro-
ttle grip down to the carburettor it the cable is kinked, cha-
fed or improperly routed, it should be replaced and/or re-
routed.
3.
Lubricate the cable with a commercially available cable lu-
brican to prevent premature wear and corrosion.
4.
Adjust free play with the throttle cable adjuster (2). Mea-
sured in grip rotation, the standard throttle grip free play is:
2-6mm (0.1-0.2in).
5.
To adjust the free play loosen the lock nut (3) and turn the
adjuster (2).
6.
After adjustment, check again for smooth rotation of the
throttle grip from the fully closed to the fully open position
with the steering to the full right and left as well as straight
ahead.
If proper throttle free play cannot achieved, contact your
CLIPIC dealer.
