Troubleshooting table of the water pump models SCWP 7514 and SDWP 7514:
Malfunction
Possible cause
Measurement
The pump works, but
does not deliver water.
A. The suction grille is clogged.
B. The impeller is clogged.
C. The required peak is higher
than the pump characteristic.
A. Clean the filter.
B. Remove the blockage or change the impeller.
The pump does not start
or shuts off again accord-
ing to the changed water
level.
The float switch can not swing
freely.
Make sure the float switch is free to swing and ad-
just the length of the cable over the cable groove.
The flow rate is insuffi-
cient.
A. The suction grille is clogged.
B. The impeller or the outlet pipe is
clogged.
C. The outlet hose is kinked.
D. The outlet hose is leaking.
A. Clean the blockage.
B. Remove the blockage.
C. Remove the kink of the hose.
D. Change the outlet hose.
The pump is running
with loud noises.
A. The pump sucks in air.
B. The pump runs continuously.
A. Make sure the water supply / water level is high
enough. When submerging, immerse the pump
in a slight angle.
B. Set the float switch correctly.
Despite the active float
switch, the pump stops
after a short period of
operation.
The pump stops automatically be-
cause the thermal circuit breaker
switches on.
A: Check if the temperature or density of the liquid
is too high, causing the electric motor to over-
heat.
B.Check if the pump is blocked by foreign matter.
Remove the foreign body.
The pump does not
work.
A. Check if the float switch swings
freely.
B. Check that the connection of the
power plug and the socket is
good.
C. Check the main fuses.
D. The supply voltage is too low.
E. A foreign body blocks the
pump.
A.Make sure the float switch is swinging freely and
adjust the length of the float switch using the ca-
ble clamp.
B. Insert the power cable firmly.
C. Replace the fuses.
D. Check if the power supply is correct.
E. Check if a foreign object blocks the pump. Re-
move this.
The float switch does not
switch on.
The water level is too low.
The float switch can not move
freely.
Eliminate the causes.
