It is recommended to read this chapter carefully and completely as it contains important
information on the safety rules to be adopted by the operator and other users even in case
of incorrect use of the elevator.
The following text provides clear explanations of some risk or danger situations that may
occur when using or maintaining the lift. The installed safety device is also shown, along
with the correct use of this system and the residual risks and operating procedures to be
used (general precautions to eliminate potential hazards).
The elevator was designed and built to lift vehicles and hold them in the desired position in
a confined environment. Any other use of the elevator is prohibited.
In particular, the lifts are not intended for:
• Vehicle washing operations with spray systems;
• Lifting of persons;
• Pressure crushing operations;
• Use as an elevator;
• Use as an elevator for individual vehicle parts.
The manufacturer is not responsible for damage to persons, vehicles or other property
caused by improper use of the equipment.
During operations, persons are only allowed in the area under the vehicle when the vehicle
is already in the raised position, the platforms are stationary and the mechanical safety
devices are firmly engaged.
DO NOT OPERATE THE CRANE WITHOUT GUARDS OR WITH GUARDS DISABLED.
FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THIS RULE MAY RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY TO PERSONS
AND IRREPARABLE DAMAGE TO THE ELEVATOR AND THE VEHICLE BEING LIFTED.
GENERAL PRECAUTIONS
The operator and the maintenance technician must observe the safety regulations in force
in the country where the lift is installed.
In addition, the operator and maintenance engineer must:
• Always work in the stations specified and illustrated in this manual;
• Never remove or disable mechanical, electrical or other types of safety guards and devices;
• Read the safety notices on the machine and the safety information in this manual.
