USING THE SOLDERING KIT
THE SOLDERING GUN
To operate the soldering gun, plug it into the power supply and pull the trigger
when heat is required.
The tip will heat up as soon as the trigger is pulled. The lamp will also illuminate
when the trigger is pulled to improve visibility.
The gun must be placed on a stable
surface, away from any materials
that can be damaged by heat
between soldering.
The tip can be replaced by undoing
the tip clamps and sliding out the
worn tip. Replace with a new tip.
THE SOLDERING IRON
To operate the soldering iron, place it on the rest provided on a stable surface,
plug it into the power supply and allow it to heat up for a few minutes.
To test that it has reached working
temperature dab solder on the tip. If
the solder melts then it is ready for
use.
Between soldering always place the
Iron on the rest to ensure that it does
not come into contact with anything
that could burn.
WARNING: THE SOLDERING TIP AND THE SOLDER METAL GET VERY HOT
WHILE SOLDERING. THE SOLDERING FLUX, IF OVERHEATED COULD BUBBLE
UP AND “SPIT” SO IT IS IMPORTANT TO FOLLOW THE SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
STATED.
