Prerequisites for Assigning Link IDs

If VSMs for multiple links are sent from the same source MAC address, then link IDs must be used.
•
Link IDs must be unique within the network segment connected to a single physical link on the head-end
router.
Restrictions for Assigning Link IDs
•
If link IDs are used, the EEM scripts are registered on either a set of source MAC addresses or a set of
link IDs but not a mixture of both.
•
When registering an EEM script and specifying multiple links it is recommended that the threshold is
equal to or lower than the minimum nominal bandwidth across all those links.
