The hand-held test
probe
You can connect a hand-held test probe (provided with your analyzer) to the 1000M.
It will help you quickly identify test points as you rework or assemble cables.

:
The probe works only when the analyzer is in the rework mode. It will not function
when the analyzer prompts

Installing the probe
Plug the probe into the connector labeled

on the back of the analyzer. This
photo shows the location of the probe jack.
Example: Identifying
test points using the
probe
While the analyzer is in the test mode, touch the tip of the probe to the connector pin
or wire you want to identify. For example, if you touch the probe tip to position J1,
pin 11, the analyzer will prompt
