Cleaning
Normal cleaning (or when someone forgets to use a bag) is carried out as follows

Note: Toilet must be cold and fan no longer running):
1. Open the toilet lid (the fan starts running).
2. Push the ’start’ button. The incineration chamber hatch opens and remains open until
the toilet lid is closed.
3. Use moist paper and an ordinary cleaning agent as needed (Note: No chlorine-based
or flammable agents). Carefully dry the entire bowl and ”wings” on the stainless hatch.
Drop the paper into the incineration chamber.
4. Close toilet lid after cleaning. The fan may be stopped by resetting the toilet (if desi-
red), consult the section on fault-finding.
Clean the catalyser
The catalyser ensures combustion without odours. Under normal conditions, the ash is grey and contains no traces of
paper. In order to avoid poor combustion and odours, the catalyser must be flushed. This assumes that you are a bit
of a handyman and able to lift a Cinderella.
1. Disconnect 12V power and the gas supply and pull the toilet off the outgoing air pipe.
2. Remove the ash container.
3. There is a small pipe in the centre of the ventilation pipe at the back of the toilet, this is the catalyser exhaust pipe.
4. Clean the exhaust pipe with a knife while using a vacuum cleaner to prevent dirt from falling down the pipe.
The rest of the procedure requires access to an area where you can spill a little water;
for example the garden, bath tub or shower.
1. Locate a stable base/ground and place the toilet on it.
2. Tilt the toilet with the front oriented downwards. The front edge of the toilet should be about 20 cm above ground level.
3. Insert a funnel into the end of the exhaust pipe. Pour about 1-2 litres of hot water (hot tap water) into the funnel. Make
sure that water does not spill over the end of the exhaust pipe. The water will flow onto the shiny bottom plate.
4. Dry out the catalyser by reinstalling the toilet over the vent pipes,and initiate an incineration process without inserting a
bag and/or paper.
