Emptying indicator
Cinderella will indicate when it is time to empty the ash container:
The yellow and red lights are flashing alternately. The display reads ”EMPTY THE ASH CONTAINER” and 3 short beeps are
heard when the toilet lid is opened. It is still possible to make use of the toilet for some period of time, but it will ultimately
lock up. At this point, the yellow and red lights are constantly lit. The display will read ”TOILET LOCKED CONTAINER FULL”
and 3 short beeps are heard every 10 seconds. The simple solution is to empty the ash container.
Emptying the ash container
We recommend the following procedure:
1. Check that 12V power is being supplied and that the green light is on.
2. Make sure that the incineration process is completed and the toilet has cooled. The fan must have stopped.
3. Remove the front hatch.
4. Rotate the ash container until the handle is pointing straight towards you. The red and yellow light indicates
that the ash container is in the ”wrong” position.
5. Pull out the ash container.
6. Remove the insert (the innermost bowl) and dispose of the ash.
7. Pour hot water in the insert and leave for about 30 minutes. Clean with a brush (do not use any sharp tools).
Dry the outside of the insert.
8. Place the insert in the ash container.
9. Pour 1 litre of water into the ash container insert before replacing.
10. Replace the ash container and push it in as far as it will go.
11. Rotate the ash container handle to the left until it stops. The red and yellow lights will extinguish.
12. Replace the front hatch.
13. Open and close the lid. Start an incineration process without placing a bag and/or paper in the bowl.
The water inside the insert will boil away and the hot steam will clean the catalyser.
Maintenance
In order to ensure optimal operation
of your Cinderella you will need to set
aside a little time for preventive main-
tenance. Good maintenance routines
imply lower operating costs. Some
simple measures which ought to be
executed once or twice a year or af-
ter every 1000 incinerations (two
packs of bags).
Clean the ventilation pipes
Check incoming and outgoing air.
Disconnect the toilet from the pipe.
Ensure that dirt, dust or other things
that may obstruct the flow-through
of air, is removed from both the out-
going air pipe and the valve. Ordinary
sweeping equipment may be used
for the cleaning of the pipe. Remove
the chimney hat and bottom lid of
the T-bend. Clean the drain opening
in the bottom lid.
