The Camshaft Phasers are fixed at 110° on the Intake and 112° on the Exhaust
The phasers may be used multiple times and build technicians need to disassemble the phasers and clean the post‐test
oil from the phasers before each test.
1. Disassemble the Phasers keeping the components together during the cleaning process.
2. Do not separate the inner and outer housing assembly.
3. Clean the phasers using the Ultra Sonic Cleaner or Engine Degreasing Solvent followed by a 50/50 solution of
Engine Degreasing Solvent and EF‐411 followed by air drying.
4. Assemble each phaser aligning the pins, gears and cover plates for each unit accordingly.
Fastener Torque
4 Nm + 58°
Exhaust Alignment Triangle
Intake Alignment Dot
Fixed Phaser alignment pins only line up one way for each type phaser, Exhaust / Intake.
