5.6 Electrical installation
WARNING
Only the authorized electro-technical trained staff is permitted to
install and to start operation of the device.
Before connecting and switching on the power supply, make sure that all
required plug connections have been established correctly.
This precaution prevents damage to the allPIXA SWIR camera and to its
connected components.
When the allPIXA SWIR camera has been secured in its final working
position and all cables are connected and screwed, check the cable
configuration.
The weight of the cables must not be applied to the connectors. No other
mechanical load should be applied to the connectors.
Comply with the minimum permissible bending radii and maximum
permissible bending cycles specified by cable manufacturers. Where
applicable, use cables that are suitable for drag chains.
Grounding of the housing and the outer cable shield:
In an environment with electromagnetic contamination, it may be
necessary to avoid ground loops and/or establish additional contact
between the housing to the installation’s electrical ground.
Excessive leakage currents on the power supply or I/O lines can cause
damage to the camera or the surrounding environment
