WARNING! According to car accident statistics, 3.
the rear seats of a car are generally safer than
the front seat: it is therefore recommended to
fit the child car seat into the rear seats of the
car. In particular, the central rear seat is the saf-
est, if it is fitted with a 3-point safety harness: in
this event, it is recommended to fit the child car
seat into the central rear seat of the car.
WARNING! DANGER! Never fit this child car 4.
seat into a front seat equipped with frontal
airbag. Fit the child car seat into the front seat
only if the frontal airbag has been deactivated:
check with the car manufacturer, or in the car
instructions manual, whether the airbag can
be deactivated.
If the child car seat is fitted in the front seat of 5.
the car (only if the frontal airbag is not present
or it has been deactivated), it is recommended
to push the seat back as much as possible,
bearing in mind the comfort of the passenger
sitting in the seat directly behind it.
Never use this child car seat on side-facing or 6.
rear-facing car seats.
Fit the child car seat only in front-facing seats 7.
that are correctly secured in the car. Never
leave folding or rotating car seats unsecured,
they may be a source of danger in the event
of an accident.

correctly to the car’s seat.

comply with the original safety standards.
This product must not be modified in any way, 12.
unless the modification is approved by the
manufacturer.
Do not install accessories, spare parts or 13.
components not supplied or approved by the
manufacturer.
Never leave your child unattended in the child 14.
car seat for any reason.
To avoid the risk that the child may fall, secure 15.
the child to the child car seat also when carry-
ing the child car seat by hand.
When it is not used in the car, it is dangerous to 16.
place the child car seat onto raised surfaces.
Never leave the child car seat unsecured in the 17.
car seat, it may hurt or injure the passengers.
Do not insert anything between the car seat 18.
and the child car seat, or between the child
car seat and the child, unless it is an acces-
sory approved by the manufacturer: in case
of accident the child car seat may not oper-
ate correctly.
In case the car is left under direct sunlight, it is 19.
recommended to cover the child car seat.
An accident, even a minor incident, may cause 20.
damages to the child car seat, which are not
visible to the naked eye: it is therefore neces-
sary to replace the child car seat.
Before carrying the child car seat by hand, en- 21.
sure that the child is fastened with the safety
harness, and that the handle is correctly locked
in a vertical position.
This child car seat can be used only with CHIC- 22.
CO strollers featuring the CLIK CLAK system.
Always check the type of hooks the stroller is
equipped with in the instructions booklet, and
whether they fit the child car seat.
Ensure that the child car seat is fitted correctly 23.
on the stroller before placing the child in it.
Do not use second-hand child car seats: they 24.
may have suffered structural damages not vis-
ible to the naked eye, which could compromise
the safety of the product.

The fabric cover can be replaced only with an- 26.
other fabric cover approved by the manufac-
turer, because it is an integral part of the child
car seat. The child car seat must never be used
without the fabric cover.
Check that the safety harness 27.
strap is not twisted to avoid that the strap or

any parts of the child car seat remain trapped
between the car doors, or rub against cutting
edges. If the safety harness is cut or frayed, it
must be replaced.
Do not transport loose or unsecured objects or 28.
baggage on the back shelf of the vehicle: in the
event of an accident or sudden braking, they
may injure the passengers.
Ensure that all the car passengers fasten their 29.
seat belt, for their own safety and because,
during the journey, they may injure the child
in the event of an accident or sudden braking
of the car.
On long journeys, it is recommended to make 30.
frequent stops: children tire very easily. Do not
remove the child from the child car seat while
travelling. If the child needs attention, it is
necessary to stop the car in a safe place.
Premature babies, born after less than 37 31.
weeks of pregnancy, may be at risk in the
child car seat. These newborn babies may have
breathing difficulties when seated in the child
car seat. We recommend to consult your doc-
tor, or the hospital’s staff, to have a medical
opinion on your child, and whether it can be
carried in the child car seat when leaving the
hospital.
Ensure that all the passengers of the vehicle 32.
always know how to release the child from the
child car seat in case of emergency.
PRODUCT CHARACTERISTICS
The child car seat is approved for “Group 0+”, which
includes children from birth up to 13 kg of weight.
IMPORTANT WARNING
1. This is a “Universal“ child restraint. It is ap-
proved to Regulation No. 44.04 series of
amendments, for general use in vehicles, and
it will fit most, but not all car seats.
2. A correct fit is likely if the vehicle manufac-
turer has declared that the vehicle is capable
of accepting a “Universal” child restraint for
this age group.
3. This child restraint has been classified as “Uni-
versal” under more stringent conditions than
those that were applied to earlier designs not
displaying this notice.
4. Only suitable if the vehicle is fitted with a
3-point static or 3-point retractor safety belt
approved to UN/ECE Regulation No. 16, or
other equivalent standards.
5. If in doubt, consult either the child restraint
manufacturer or the retailer.
USE RESTRICTIONS
CAUTION! Please read the following instructions
carefully when using the product with the car
seat. Failure to comply with these introductions
may affect the safety of your child.
1. The child car seat is intended for children
weighing up to 13 Kg.
2. Never fit this child car seat into a front seat
equipped with frontal airbag. Fit the child car
seat into the front seat only if the frontal air-
bag has been deactivated: check with the car
manufacturer, or in the car instructions manu-
al, whether the airbag can be deactivated.
If the Synthesis model features the mini in-
sert:
WARNING! To ensure maximum safety to
your child, never use the mini insert with chil-
dren of over 6 Kg of weight.
• The child car seat has a mini insert to ensure
maximum protection and comfort to children
from birth up to 6 Kg of weight.
Before fitting the mini insert, check that the
safety harness is inserted into the lowest hole:
this is the only position allowed for using the
child car seat with this accessory.
CAR SEAT AND SAFETY BELT
REQUIREMENTS
The child car seat may be fitted to the front pas-
senger seat or any rear seat, but with the follow-
ing restrictions. The child car seat must:
- be fitted in a front-facing position (diag.1)
- be fitted with a 3-point static or 3-point retrac-
tor safety belt (diag.2A).
CAUTION! Never fit the child car seat into a car
seat if it is only equipped with a lap belt (diag.
2B).
HOW TO ADJUST THE SAFETY HARNESS
WARNING! The safety harness must always be
adjusted to the size of the child’s body.
Before fitting the child car seat into the car, it is
necessary to adjust the height of the child’s safety
harness.
The correct position of safety harness is slightly
below the child’s shoulders (diag. 3). The height
can be adjusted to 3 positions (diag. 4).
If the Synthesis model features a mini insert:
Before fitting the mini insert, check that the belts
are inserted into the hole located in the lowest
position: this is the only position allowed for using
this accessory.
